I love the Hearts Border Punch. Here we used it at the top of this four-paneled folding card.

This is what it looks like when opened flat, even though you don’t display it that way. The Work of Art stamp set is great for background work.

The Stars Framelits are great. Here is a Christmas card my very talented downline, Dawn Durkin, made using these framelits. It’s fabulous in real life. She used Gold Embossing Powder and our Gold Foil for the stars, stamping the sentiment on Vellum.

Bright & Beautiful Silver Card

I can’t believe it’s December, and I’m still trying to figure out what my Christmas cards will look like. I thought I would show you a card I CASE’d off of Pinterest. I changed the color combo. I wanted to use my Silver Foil and Vellum paper, along with the Silver Embossing Powder.

As usual, my scan doesn’t do the card justice. The silver really sparkles!

July’s Paper Pumpkin

I am loving how Stampin’ Up! has re-vamped the Paper Pumpkin kit. Here is this month’s projects!

Paper P 2014-07

Paper Pumpkin is a kit that is delivered to your door once a month. Stampin’ Up! has a promotion this month for subscriptions. Receive 50% off your first two months’ subscription when you subscribe by September 10. Visit MyPaperPumpkin.com to sign up and use the  promo code HALFOFF2.

Here are some of the products in this mnth’s Pumpkin! It also included a roll of ribbon and Baker’s Twine. I made the card following the directions in the kit.

Even though the stars look gray, they are in our wonderful Silver Foil. The stamp set included in the kit had multiple sentiments to choose from. The following is my stepped-up card I made using the kit contents and a few additional items.

Paper P 2014-07 B (2)

I decided to make a panel card, after seeing a sample on my sister’s-in-law website, Snaps & Snippets. I cut a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 sheect of Pool Party card stock, and then a 5-1/4 x 4 sheet of Blackberry Bliss card stock and adhered them together. I then trimmed down the card from the kit to measure 5 x 3-3/4. I added a Starburst Blackberry Bliss framelit to one of the kit’s tags. Next I adhered a heart sticker from the kit, along with 2 silver foil punched hearts. Next came my Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities to color the Jewel Rhinestones, placing them below the sticker strip from the kit.

It’s so much fun to see what little extras you can do with the monthly kits. But they are invaluable when you simply need a quick card or gift, ready to go in a jiffy. Keep Thinkin’ Inkin’!

Gingerbread Gift Card

I sat down over the weekend and created my gift cards from my leftover stash using a Christmas theme. Here is the first one.

Gingerbread Gift Card

I used a retired stamp set called Scentsational Season. along with the coordinating Holiday Collection Framelits. I stamped my gingerbread men in Crumb Cake, used the Cherry Cobbler marker to add the squigglies on the arms and legs, and then I used a red Sharpie and colored on my Basic Pearls and added them to the gingerbread men tummies. The border was punched using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, with the retired Season of Style Paper Pack. Then I ran this piece through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, before attaching my gingerbread men with Dimensionals.

Here is what you see when you begin to open the gift card. I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler using the Sassy Salutations stamp set and added a few more punched borders.

Gingerbread Inside 2

And, finally, when you open the card completely, a gift card will be inserted in the center section. I added the Christmas tree using the same Framelits set and then punching a star from Crumb Cake card stock using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. Keep Thinkin’ Inkin’!
