Irresistibly Yours Card

One of the fun new items in the Sale-a-bration catalog is the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. The gals who attended my Open House got to play with it. We punched the flower from the paper and then inked it in using the Strawberry Slush ink. They asked what I planned on doing with the flower, and this is what I came up with. I got the idea off of Pinterest, of course.

Irresistably DSP Abloom

Here are the quick basics of the card:

  • Pistachio Pudding card stock as the card base
  • All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack for the banner
  • The flower is punched using the Fun Flower Punch and the Irresistibly Yours paper, using the Strawberry Slush ink to bring out the embossed portion of the paper
  • I used the Blossom Punch to make the leaves, punching them from Wild Wasabi card stock and running it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder to add a little dimension to the leaves
  • The Boho Blossoms Punch came out for the small flower in Whisper White card stock attached to the center of the flower, along with attaching some retired coordinating embellishments
  • The Spiral Border Punch was used for the top of the tag
  • The sentiment was stamped in Strawberry Slush from the Four You stamp set.

Makes me think spring is right around the corner. Keep Thinkin’ Inkin’!

Beautiful Bunch Hardwood

Beautiful Bunch is a great new stamp set in the Annual Catalog, and I’ve been having fun playing with it. I got this wonderful idea from Pinterest, first created by Mary Brown. I made a few changes from her original, but I kept her layout basically the same, which I loved.

Beautiful Bunch Lost Lagoon

I used the new Lost Lagoon cardstock for the card base, stamping the Hardwood stamp set in Basic Black on it. I used the Moonlight Paper Stack for the designer paper, cutting it out with the Banner Framelits. Baked Brown Sugar cardstock  frames the other Mooonlight paper. The Beautiful Bunch flowers were stamped in Sahara Sand and then Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched out with the Fun Flower punch. I then brought out the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities and colored in the flower and the Pearl. I am absolutely loving the Blendabilities. Hope you enjoyed this fun card. Keep Thinkin’ Inkin’!

Graduation Owl Card

Well, it’s that time of year, and graduations are all underway. Here is the card I created for my niece who was graduating from high school.

Grad Owl

I absolutely love our Owl Builder Punch. This little guy is too cute. I punched out a square for his hat and added pieces of the Scallop Circle Punch to hold the diploma. The diploma was made from our crepe filter paper.

Dress Up Framelits

It’s been a busy week, but I’ve had a whole bunch of fun making cards. This card was perfect for my mother’s birthday and an upcoming bridal shower. I found my inspiration on Pinterest and made a few changes to work with my cardstock.
Black Dress Doily

I started with the Basic Black card stock base. I then took one of my Oval Framelits, placed it on a piece of Basic Gray card stock and ran it through the Big Shot to create my oval window. I then embossed it with one of Stampin’ Up!’s retired embossing folders. Next I layered a piece of Modern Medley Designer Series Paper under my window and attached this to my card base.

Now came the fun part. I took my Dress Up Framelit and ran it through the Big Shot on Basic Black card stock. I took the Paper Doilies, cut and creased them, to attach to the back of my dress. This entire piece was attached to my card using Dimensionals. Out came the Rhinestones and I trimmed the bottom of the dress, along with placing one on the Whisper White heart that was punched with the Small Heart Punch and attached the heart with a Mini Glue Dot. I next stamped the image from the Ciao, Baby stamp set and punched it out with the Petite Curly Label Punch and attached it to the card with a Dimensional.

Finally I tied my bow from the 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and attached it to the waistline of my dress with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.

Tag Topper Punches by Stampin’ Up!

Learn how to make tags of any length with just one punch. Most tag punches punch out the entire tag, so you’re limited to one size. Now there’s a tool that punches out just the top of a tag so you can choose how long you want your tag to be. It also punches out the hole for a tassel or thread so you don’t have to do it separately. It’s available in two top designs: scalloped and angled. Look for them in your “Celebrate the Everyday” catalog on page 35. The video below shows you a few cute samples using the Tag Topper Punches.

A Round Array

Time to play with some retired and new product. Hope you enjoy this simple card.

Soda Pop Tea Time

Here we go:

  • Start with a Soft Suede card base, layered with the retired Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.
  • I stamped “For You’ from the A Round Array stamp set with Old Olive ink and punched the image out with the 7/8” Scallop Circle Punch.
  • I cut Crumb Cake card stock using the Deco Label Framelits. I layered another piece of Tea for Two Designer Series Paper on it after punching it out with the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle.
  • I ran a retired Soda Pop Top through the Big Shot to flatten it and attached a punched 1″ Circle from So Saffron card stock to it. I then put it on my Deco Label piece.
  • I used a Dimensional to put my “For You” on my Soda Pop Top.
  • I cut the ends of some retired ribbon and placed it on the card base and then added my layered Deco Label piece.
