Just a quick “Thank You” to everyone who attended my Open House. I hope you enjoyed using some of the new stamp sets, punches, and tools from the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog. Also, the winner of the raffle drawing for the FREE hostess set is Mary jo S. Congratulations, Mary jo!

Laser Cut Flower Midnight Muse

I told those of you who placed an order with me back on May 31st would receive a special gift in your goodies bag. Do you remember the laser-cut cards with envelopes we carried several years back? Well, I still have a few of the different styles hiding in my “to do” drawer, and I thought this would be a good time “to do”.

I took the large flower from the Betsy’s Blossoms stamp set and stamped it in Midnight Muse on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I attached some of the Midnight Muse ribbon to the laser-cut card and then adhered my stamped piece to the back of the laser cut so my stamped image showed through. I added one of the Midnight Muse Dahlias to the front. Talk about quick and easy!

Anyway, this was the little gift I promised, along with a couple of blank laser-cut cards and envelopes so the gals could create their own!

Simple Vintage Verses Card

How about a very simple card using the Sale-a-bration stamp set Vintage Verses. I thought I would stick with a mono-chromatic theme using the Raspberry Ripple card stock.

Vintage Verses

I apologize for the poor quality of the scan. Let’s start with the Raspberry Ripple card base. I used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to make the ribbon strip and adhered it. Next I stamped my image in Raspberry Ripple on Whisper White card stock. I then centered my stamped image in the Apothecary Accents Framelit and ran it through the Big Shot. I placed it on the card base and trimmed off the overhanging edges. The Elegant Butterfly Punch came out, and I attached an In Color Dahlia to the butterfly. The butterfly was then attached to the card using Dimensionals.

Have fun creating your own simple cards!
