I had some leftovers from my Easter card the other day and decided to make this birthday tag. It’s great to have a few tags like this on hand.
Here are the steps:
- I used an old Sizzix scallop tag die and ran it through the Big Shot using Soft Suede card stock.
- I cut a 3 x 3 piece of Pink Pirouette card stock, rounded the corners, and ran it through the Fancy Fan Embossing folder. I adhered it to the tag.
- Next I cut a 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock, rounded the corners, and stamped the stems from the Fabulous Florets stamp set in Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede. I add the “Happy Birthday” stamped in Soft Suede from the Create a Cupcake stamp set. I stamped one of the flowers from the Fabulous Florets in Soft Suede on the Whisper White piece. I placed this entire piece on my tag using Dimensionals.
- I had left over from my Easter card a butterfly and flower, already punched and cut. I added the Rhinestone Jewels and placed them on the tag with Mini Glue Dots, curling the edges of both flower and butterfly for some added dimension.

I thought I would show you the quick Easter card I made the other day. I used the retired stamp called Easter Dove. It will be available at my Open House in June, from my personal retiring stamp sets, for purchase at 50% off the original price.
I started with a Pink Pirouette card base. I then used the Top Note die and cut a Whisper White and Soft Suede piece. I trimmed the Whisper White diecut along the scored line and attached it to the Soft Suede Top Note die. This was then inserted in the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot. I trimmed a portion of the Top Note die off.
I stamped the leaves from the Fabulous Florets stamp set in Pink Pirouette and Soft Suede on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I used a marker to color in the “He is Risen” from the Easter Dove set and added that. This was layered on a piece of Soft Suede card stock. I stamped the butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Soft Suede, along with the small flower from Fabulous Florets, on a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock. I punched the butterfly out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and simply hand cut the flower. I took a sponge dauber and added some Pink Pirouette color to the flower from the stamp pad. Both the butterfly and flower had the Jewel Rhinestones placed on them. I curled up the edges of the flower and butterfly to add a little dimension once I attached everything to the card.
You can also add a little bit of our Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the butterfly and flower for a little extra bling.

At a workshop the other day, we made a card using the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Blossom Punch. We did a little simpler version of this card, but I loved my stepped-up version.
We used Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stock. We stamped the “Happy Birthday” in Elegant Eggplant, the flowers in Daffodil Delight, and the flower centers in Calypso Coral. The centers were stamped on a scrap piece of paper and then punched out with our cute 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. I attached the buttons from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I ran the Whisper White and Daffodil Delight card stock through the Big Shot using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. The flowers were punched out with the Blosssom punch and adhered with Dimensionals. Enjoy!
